In this month's home inspection pictures we have an electrical theme. First, we have an outlet with an electrical tester in it showing that it has a "hot/neutral reverse" (reverse polarity). This is a common issue to find on a home inspection, and basically means someone accidentally switched the hot and neutral wires. In the second picture we see wires spliced together outside of a junction box and is a safety issue, but easily fixed.
